The team behind the Bloodhound SSC (supersonic car) project will test fire its hybrid rocket at the Aerohub, at Newquay Cornwall Airport, tomorrow afternoon.

The team hope to break the world land speed record of 763mph in its first run in the South African desert next year, and return in 2014 to attempt to break the 1,000mph barrier. Tomorrow's event represents the most significant milestone yet in the development of the supersonic car.
