McDonald, Bard hand Sox fifth straight win

CHICAGO -- The Red Sox won their fifth straight, Friday night, beating the White Sox, 10-3, at U.S. Cellular Field. The Sox have now outscored their opponents 44-19 during the recent run.

Picking up his first major league win as a starter was Daniel Bard, who allowed three runs (2 earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking one while throwing 96 pitches. Matt Albers pitched two scoreless innings to finish things up for the 9-10 Red Sox.
