A GROUP of Bristol pupils lined up to mark 100 days until the opening of the 2012 London Olympics.
The children will be among the tens of thousands of Bristolians who will be cheering on Team GB when the Olympics begin with the opening ceremony on Friday, July 27.
To add to the fun, visitors to the BBC Big Screen in Millennium Square can now play Olympic screen game Dash, Dodge, Dive.
The 120 pupils from St Michael's- on-the-Mount Primary School stood together in the shape of the number 100.
James Almond, acting deputy head teacher, told the Post: "All of the children here are very excited about the Olympics.
"As a school we are planning to do lots of activities in the run up to the opening ceremony.
"Some of our pupils will be going to a test event at Olympic Park and every class is doing some sort of topic work related to the games.
"We are looking at the different Olympic sports in PE, as well as the history of the games, and are watching some of the opening ceremonies."
Meanwhile, thousands of Bristol residents are expected to come out on May 22 and May 23 to cheer the Olympic torchbearers as they carry the Flame through Bristol's streets.
The Torch Relay will follow a route through South Gloucestershire into Bristol and into North Somerset.
It is also due to sail down Bristol's Floating Harbour and cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Around 115 torchbearers a day will carry the Olympic Flame during its 8,000-mile journey around the UK before it arrives at the Olympic Stadium on July 27.
